Her dismissal was due to a violation of the pageant’s strict rules. Reportedly, her boyfriend Juan Abadia joined her in her separate hotel room without prior permission from the event organizers.

Chris Mora reacts to last-minute disqualification
Italy’s Mora announced her early exit from the Miss Universe 2024 pageant through a statement on her Instagram Stories following an evaluation by the disciplinary commission. He wrote, “Regarding my departure from Miss Universe 2024: On November 1, 2024, I received notice of my withdrawal from the competition. As I was preparing to participate in the gala evening, the organization announced its decision that I should leave the competition.
She added, “However, I want to express that I believe this was a serious measure, and could have been resolved through conversation or a warning. This incident may have been difficult to process emotionally. Especially considering the time, effort, resources, and support of those who made my preparation possible to represent my country.”
Mora also addressed her fellow Panamanians, saying, “To my fellow Panamanians, I want to tell you that I have always made a commitment to represent Panama with pride, and I deeply regret that I have stepped down from the direction of this competition. I am unable to move forward.”
He concluded the statement by urging others to respect his privacy during this challenging time and expressed his gratitude for the support and affection he has received: “With this statement, I wish to dispel any misinformation circulating about my departure. I also hope to clarify and demand respect and privacy as I go through this moment. I sincerely appreciate the support and affection I have received, and I reiterate my gratitude to all who have supported me during this process. Have faith in.”
