Naib Singh Saini is going to become the new Chief Minister of Haryana on Tuesday. He will replace Manohar Lal Khattar as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government aims for a major reshuffle. The development came after the BJP broke ties with the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) ahead of the Lok Sabha elections and assembly elections this year.

Who is Naib Singh Saini?
Naib Singh Saini is a BJP leader from Other Backward Class (OBC) in the state. He is considered close to former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
BJP MLA Rajesh Nagar Said On Tuesday, “Nayab Singh Saini will be the new CM (Haryana).” Manohar Lal Khattar himself had proposed his (Saini’s) name.

Nayab Saini is BJP’s Lok Sabha MP from Kurukshetra seat of Haryana. He is also the chief of BJP’s Haryana unit and a member of the standing committee on labour. On Tuesday, Saini was “unanimously elected leader of the BJP legislature party”.
Haryana BJP said Saini had contested from Narayangarh constituency in 2010 but lost to Ramkishan Gurjar. In 2014, he won the election by 24,361 votes. He served as a Minister of State in the Government of Haryana.
He also won the 2019 Lok Sabha election, defeating his rival and Congress leader Nirmal Singh from Kurukshetra constituency by a margin of over 3.83 lakh votes.

The newly elected Chief Minister was born on 25 January 1970 in Mizapur Majra village of Ambala. He earned a BA degree from BR Ambedkar Bihar University in Muzaffarpur and an LLB degree from Chaudhary. Charan Singh University, Meerut.
It is being told that Saini will take oath as the new Chief Minister of Haryana along with other ministers at 4 pm on Tuesday.
Khattar and his cabinet ministers resigned from the post of chief minister on Tuesday. As BJP moves to replace Khattar, speculations are now rife that the former CM may contest as BJP candidate from Karnal Lok Sabha seat.
