New Delhi. Maruti Suzuki has updated its popular sub 4-meter SUV Brezza with some new safety features. Maruti Brezza is one of the few vehicles in its category which is offered with the company’s factory fitted CNG kit. However, the company did not update some features in the CNG version of Brezza. Semiconductor shortage was cited as the reason behind this, but now the company has removed this deficiency in the new update. Now these safety features will be available as standard in all CNG variants of Maruti Brezza.
Maruti Suzuki is currently offering Brezza CNG in LXI, VXI and ZXI variants. Some security features were missing in all three variants, which have now been included. All three variants of Brezza CNG are made available as standard with Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Hill Hold Assist.
These safety features are very useful
ESP prevents the vehicle from losing control during sudden braking, while Hill Hold Assist ensures that the vehicle does not roll backwards on a slope. Maruti Brezza is not the car with most features in this segment. However, it is still one of the best selling vehicles in the segment due to its brand value, wide dealership network and reliability.
Engine and Specifications
Maruti Brezza has a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, which generates power of 102 bhp and peak torque of 137 Nm in the petrol version. This engine generates power of 87 bhp and peak torque of 121 Nm in CNG version. The CNG version of Brezza is available only with 5-speed manual gearbox option. The petrol version has the option of both 6-manual and 6-speed automatic transmission.
The updated version of Maruti Brezza has been launched in the market without any changes. Maruti Brezza CNG price starts at Rs 9.29 lakh, ex-showroom.
