A Defense Ministry spokesperson confirmed that two students, Daihari Khozio and George Looney, cleared the Staff Selection Commission’s Combined Graduate Level (SSC CGL) examination after receiving guidance from the Indian Army.
The student is a resident of Senapati and has passed the SSC CGL Tier 1 written examination held on September 9, 2024.
“Their achievement comes after receiving guidance under the able guidance of the Indian Army at the Red Shield Mentoring Center in Senapati, Manipur,” a statement from the Defense Ministry’s PRO for Manipur, Nagaland and Southern Arunachal Pradesh said.

Both students are part of a larger batch of students, the second group to receive guidance from the Army.
“Khojio and Luni were part of the second batch of students to receive guidance and training by the Indian Army at the center to prepare for various competitive examinations from 05 August 2024. They will now proceed to Tier II examinations,” the statement said.
Highlighting how this serves as an “inspiration for his teammates”, the statement said it also reflects his dedication, discipline and focus.
