Mammootty celebrates his 73rd birthday on Saturday. The actor, who has picked up some interesting projects in the last few years, has finally given his fans an update on his next film. The first poster of the interestingly titled film, Dominic and the Ladies Purse, was released on the actor’s birthday. Directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, the poster shows Mammootty wearing a bathrobe. The entire focus of this poster is not on his frame. It has a board on which several pictures are marked and some kind of connection is made between them to provide clues. A purse can also be seen on the floor of the room. This indicates the possibility that Mammootty is playing the role of a detective in the film.
Sharing the poster, Mammootty wrote in the caption, “Presenting the first look poster of Dominic and the Ladies Purse, Directed by @menongautham and Produced by @MKampanyOffl.”

A few days ago, Mammootty had shared his views on the findings of the Hema Committee report, which detailed rampant sexual abuse and miserable working conditions of women in the Malayalam film industry.
“I wholeheartedly welcome and support the recommendations and solutions put forward in the Hema Committee report. It is time now for all film industry bodies to join hands and implement them. Police investigations are progressing on the complaints that have been raised,” Mammootty wrote in Malayalam on Facebook.
Meanwhile, Mammootty recently won his 15th Filmfare Award for the 2023 film Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam, directed by Lijo Jose Pelissery. The actor also received wide acclaim for Kathal: The Core. Mammootty was last seen in the 2024 film Turbo and will soon be seen in Bazooka. He was also seen in the ZEE5 anthology series Manorathangal.
