Although the absence of beloved K-dramas reestablished a tiresome status quo, tvN’s original series once again maintained its winning streak as the most talked-about drama of the week for the fifth time in a row.
On June 4, Good Data Corporation released the top 10 most talked about dramas and actors of the surrounding week for May and June. While the series itself topped both drama lists – TV and TV-OTT, the fantasy romance’s lead actors – Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Eun – also topped the week’s most talked about actors list for the fifth time in a row. Meanwhile, much-loved supporting actor Song Geon Hee took the 7th spot.

New K-drama premieres as the hot drama of the week
Just as SBS Connection and MBC Bitter Sweet Hell debuted on the charts last week, a new series from tvN also made it into the top 10 rankings. The Player 2: Master of Swindlers, which premiered on Monday, June 3, ranked 9th.
Additionally, TVING’s web series, Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale, starring Lee Joon Young and Pyo Ye Jin, began streaming on May 31. The romantic comedy series earned recognition by ranking at the 9th spot on the TV-OTT list.
