General Education Minister V Shivkutty said that the government has received a detailed report from the Director General of Education and is taking fast action.

A 13 -year -old student announced immediate measures on Friday by General Education Minister V Shivkutty, a 13 -year -old student at Kollam district, Kerala, a day after a day of death. These include suspending the headmistress and issuing a show-causal notice for the management of the school, PTI said.
Midhun, a student at the Boys High School, was badly electrocked by a live wire at the school premises at the Boys High School.
Talking to reporters, the minister said that the government has received a detailed report from the Director General of Education and is taking rapid action.
“We have lost a son from Kerala,” said Shivkutty.
The report stated that the work done involves reorganizing the school’s original-teacher association, requiring clarification from an assistant academic officer about failure, and the management needs to be given three days to respond to the notice.
Emergency assistance in support for Midhun’s family includes Rs 3 lakh, building a new house through scouts and guides, and free education up to class 12 for his younger brother -in -law.
Sivankutty mentioned that a government circular released in May had already warned to identify and report the dangers of electricity before reopening schools.
“The circular was clear. There could be no excuse,” he said.

The incident occurred at around 9:15 pm on Thursday when Midhun lost his shoe while playing with his classmates, which ended over a shed. A video of the event shows trying to retrieve the shoes by climbing the midhun shed. He gets entangled in a live electric line passing through the shed and immediately falls.
After this incident, the Human Rights Commission filed a case in connection with the death of the student. Taking the tragedy seriously, the Commission directed the Director of Public Education and District Police (Kollam Rural) to start an immediate investigation and submit a report within 14 days.
