The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) is set to inaugurate the Tony James Center for Private Equity and Venture Capital on 6 August. This will mark the launch of The First Global Center of Excellence dedicated to research, education and cooperation private equity And Venture Capital (PEVC) field in Asia’s third largest economy.

Professor Thampi said, “Tony James Center will be a catalyst force in shaping the future of India and beyond PEVC. Through research, teaching and continuous engagement with the industry, we expect to cultivate a new generation of leaders who will re -define the dimensions of the investment and enterprise.”
Professor Ashok Thampi, who has been appointed as the Chairman of the Center and holds a floorinator chair at private equity and venture capital, will present the roadmap of the center. He said, “Tony James Center would be a catalyst force in shaping the future of India and beyond PEVC,” he said.
Designed as a major platform for academic research, industry engagement and policy dialogue, the Center aims to bring global experts together and develop deep insights into emerging private equity and enterprise capital trends. It intends to nurture a new generation of finance professionals based in strong morality and global best practices.
