IIT JAM 2024 counseling registration starts at jam.iitm.ac.in; View schedule – AyraNews24x7

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras has started the online counseling process for Joint Entrance Examination for Masters. (IIT JAM) 2024. Students who have scored equal to or more than the JAM 2024 cut-off marks for their particular category are eligible to apply for JAM Counseling 2024. Candidates can fill the IIT JAM 2024 counseling application form through the official website of Indian. Institute of Technology, Madras at jam.iitm.ac.in. It is noteworthy that the last date for submission of IIT JAM 2024 counseling form is 24th April.

Applicants will be given three options during IIT JAM 2024 counselling. The first is “Accept and Freeze”, which involves reserving their seats by paying the seat booking fee after accepting the option allotted to them.

Second comes the “Accept and Upgrade” option, in which candidates agree with the allotted option but look for better opportunities in the following rounds, usually getting higher priority in the subsequent IIT JAM 2024 admission lists.

The last option is “Reject and Leave”, which allows applicants to reject the allotted option and withdraw their name from the list.

IIT JAM Counseling 2024: Seat Booking Fees

After the declaration of seat allotment, candidates accepting the seat will have to pay the seat booking fee for IIT JAM 2024. Applicants falling under General and Other Backward Class (OBC) categories will have to pay Rs 10,000. On the other hand, candidates from Physically Handicapped (PH), Scheduled Caste (SC), and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories will have to pay Rs 5,000 as IIT JAM seat booking fee.
