IIT Delhi QS World Rankings climbs 123 in 2026.
In an important jump on the global educational platform, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has climbed 27 places to secure 123rd in the QS World University Rankings 2026. This is a major improvement from last year’s 150th rank and IIT Delhi is in position as India’s highest-ranked institution in this prestigious list.
Meanwhile, IIT Bombay, which has been considered to be the country’s major engineering institute for a long time, reached 129th positions at 11 places. Despite the drop, it is the second best ranked Indian institution globally.
The QS World University Rankings, Global Higher Education Announcement firm is published annually by Quaciverely Symonds, assessment of universities is based on a variety of performance indicators, including educational reputation, faculty ratio, research effects, research effects, international student diversity and graduate employment.
