Nishtha Bothra secured All India Rank 2 in the ICAI CA final in May 2025. This is his second major achievement, as he also earned Air 2 in CA Intermediate in May 2022.

In CA Intermediate May 2025, Nishtha Bothra scored 658 out of 800, again won the air 2.
Nishtha Bothra has surprised everyone by receiving all the India rank not once, but in the CA or Chartered Accountancy Examination twice, which is considered one of the most difficult professional examinations of India. The 24 -year -old, originally raised in the chapar, Rajasthan, and Guwahati, Assam, secured All India Rank 2 in the ICAI CA final in May 2025. This is his second major achievement, as he also earned Air 2 in CA Intermediate in May 2022.
Nishtha has always been a top artist academically. He achieved a correct 10 CGPA in his 10th exam in 2017 and 96.75% impressive 96.75% in his 12th exams in 2019. He graduated in commerce from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata and then chased the Chartered Accountancy. He scored 323 out of 400 (80.75%) in the CA Foundation Examination, showing his strong academic foundation. Nishtha’s family has a deep connection with the CA profession, aspiring to be a CA, but died in 2011 before fulfilling his dream.
Nishtha’s journey began during the Kovid -19 epidemic when he dedicated himself to CA preparation. He approved the CA Foundation in his first attempt in December 2020. Subsequently, he completed his BCom (Hons) from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata. In May 2022, he scored Air 2 with 658 points out of 800 in CA Intermediate, and in May 2025, he repeated the rank in the CA final.
Nisha’s remarkable achievement in the CA Foundation Examination scored 80.75% with 323 marks out of 400, a notable achievement. This initial victory set him on the path of continuous success. In CA Intermediate May 2025, he scored 658 runs out of 800 points, again Air 2. His performance in the final examination exceeded the expectations, securing Air 2 in May 2025. Nisha dedicated this victory to her late father, who wished to pass this examination, but was unable for health reasons. She now lives her father’s dream.
Nishtha’s success is not only due to academic knowledge, he has gained a valuable real world experience through his articleship in Ernst and Young (EY). Here, she worked on client projects and corporate governance, and is currently undergoing industrial training in Hindustan Unilever (HUL). This experience has practically equipped them to implement finance, law and audit principles.
ICAI released the list of toppers with the results of May 2025. According to this list, Rajan Kabra of Mumbai is ranked 1, Nishtha Bothra from Guwahati is on Rank 2, and Manish Rakesh Shah has achieved rank 3. Rajan secured Hawa 1 with 516/600 points, while Nishtha finished second with 503 points. His hard work serves as an inspiration for the future CA candidates.
Nishtha’s story tells that the secret of success lies in hard work, meditation and practical experience. Despite the low -passing rate in the CA exam, she visited the top 3 twice, setting an example for students wishing to pass the exam in future.
