Hyderabad Amravati Expressway green signal
The central government has approved the Amravati-Hyderabad Greenfield Expressway. According to this, the Ministry of Home Affairs has directed the Road and Transport Department to prepare a detailed project report. Recently, the details of this meeting were sent by the Ministry of Home Affairs to the Chief Secretaries of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Cost of Hyderabad Amravati Expressway
The central government has planned land acquisition and construction for 220 km long expressway, which is about ₹ 25,000 crore, the estimated cost. This expressway will be a new greenfield project of six -lane, that is, it will be fully prepared as new construction and will ignore the existing roads. Apart from this, bypass road will also be built to connect towns and villages.
Connection to expressway
To increase the port of Telangana, the expressway can be extended to the Machilipatnam port city, which will increase the movement of goods and reduce the logistics. It has also been recommended to establish a dry port facility near Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway, which will improve the relationship and interaction between Telugu-speaking states. Amravati-Hyderabad Greenfield Express will reduce the time of highway travel, promote economic activities and encourage the development of new cities and commercial centers on its route.
