New Delhi. Honda Cars India on Friday announced that it is recalling 2,204 additional units to replace faulty fuel pumps in some models. With this the total number of recalls has increased to 92,672 units. Earlier, the company had announced a drive for voluntary replacement of fuel pumps in 90,468 old units.
“Additionally, this campaign will also cover 2,204 old units which were previously subjected to this modification as a spare part,” the automaker said in a statement. The fuel pumps installed in these vehicles may have faulty propellers, which can cause the engine to stall or not start over time, the company added.
