For Himachal Pradesh Police, the Curve EV has been specially modified to suit their requirements.
Himachal Pradesh Police recently added the Tata Curve EV to its portfolio. The electric coupe SUV was spotted at dealerships with several changes compared to the standard Curve EV. Here are five unique upgrades that Himachal Pradesh Police has made to its EVs.
1. dress
As expected from a police car, the white colored Curve EV now gets police decals on the sides to differentiate it from other Curve EVs present in Himachal Pradesh. The helpline number is also written on the decals. We can also see ‘Police’ written in red font on the rear glass of the vehicles and there is another decal on the bonnet.
2. Light
Police lights have been installed on the roof. There are red and blue lights, which come in handy in case of an emergency if the vehicle needs to announce its presence to other road users.

3. Siren/hooter
Another thing that police vehicles have is a siren or hooter. We are not sure where it is kept. There is a possibility that it will be installed along with emergency lights. Sirens are used to alert pedestrians and other drivers of the arrival of an emergency vehicle, to attract drivers’ attention and clear the way through intersections or congested areas, and to notify other road users that an emergency vehicle is present.
4. Laptop/Device
Being a police vehicle, there will be some equipment in the cabin that will help the police in performing their duties. This could include laptops, weapons, handcuffs, body cameras, etc.

5. Dashcam
In today’s day and age, it is important to have dashcams in vehicles, especially when it is a police vehicle, as it will help in recording what is happening in front and behind the vehicle. Tata Motors already sells dual-channel dashcams as an accessory, so we hope the revised Curvy EVs come equipped with them.
