A major study by researchers at Harvard’s TH Chan School of Public Health has shown that eating a healthy diet in your 40, 50s and 60s can help you at a good age.
Research tracked over 1 lakh Americans for about 30 years and found that people who eat nutritious food were more likely to be more without major diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure or heart problems.
So, what should we eat?
The study states that we should eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, lentils, healthy fats (such as fish or olive oil) and low -fat dairy. All these foods are combined with a better possibility of healthy aging.
At the same time, the study warns against certain foods. Cola and packed fruit juices, highly processed foods (such as chips and instant noodles) such as sugar with sugar, red meat and salty snacks should be avoided less frequently or eaten. They are later associated with more health problems in life.
The study did not ask people to follow specific diet plans. Instead, it saw the types of food and compared them with eight known healthy diets such as Mediterranean diet, dash (for heart health), brain (for brain health) and plant-based diet.
All these diets focused on natural, disappointed food and showed positive effects.

A health expert Dr. Lean Wayne tells CNN that this research proves that healthy food is not only about losing weight, but well about aging. Even if no one has eaten healthy before, it is never late to start.
“Everyone can make a conscious effort to reduce the consumption of soda, fruit drinks and other sugar-sweet beverages. They can also try to cut their consumption of ultra-related food, which is associated with a high risk of mortality in many other studies,” Dr. Wayne said.
He said, “The study team then classified the consumption of food, measuring how close the consumption pattern was for the consumption of eight types of healthy diets and unhealthy ultra-like food,” he said.
