Hollywood home prone and affected
The homes of many Hollywood celebrities are dangerously close to wildfires. Page Six shared a map of the affected area, highlighting nearby celebrity homes. Schitt’s Creek star Eugene Levy’s home has already been gutted by fire, as shown in a photo from the portal. It’s also home to Nobody Wants This actor Adam Brody and his wife, and Gossip Girl stars Leighton Meester, Anna Faris, James Woods, and reality TV star couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt.
On one side of the wildfire is Malibu, where the homes of actor-singer Miley Cyrus and Star Wars actor Mark Hamill are located. On the other hand, the home of actor Jamie Lee Curtis is located in Santa Monica. A little higher to the north are the homes of Michael Keaton and Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson. North of Pacific Palisades are the homes of filmmaker Steven Spielberg and actors Diane Keaton and Ben Affleck. Ben had to flee his $20 million bachelor pad, which he bought during his recent divorce with Jennifer Lopez, because it was on the verge of being destroyed. Distraught, he was seen driving his car to ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s house to seek refuge.
Mandy Moore, Cary Elwes and Paris Hilton were among the stars who said Wednesday they had lost their homes. Billy Crystal and his wife Janice lost their home of 45 years in the Palisades fire.
About LA wildfires
More than 1,000 structures, mostly homes, have been destroyed, and more than 130,000 people have been ordered to evacuate in the metropolitan area. Hundreds of firefighters from other states have arrived to help, but four fires raging out of control show the danger is far from over. The fire destroyed a total of about 42 square miles – roughly equal to the size of the entire city of San Francisco.
