The influencer not only got a chance to meet Janhvi Kapoor but also stayed in veteran actress Sridevi’s room. Watch the reel here.
Instagram influencer Maanas recently had the time of his life when he was chosen to visit Janhvi Kapoor’s house in Chennai where he got a customised experience tailored to the guest’s demands. The influencer shared a reel on his Instagram profile of how he reached Sridevi’s house and met Janhvi Kapoor in person. All thanks to Airbnb – an online marketplace to choose and book short or long term homestays, hotels and experiences.
A few days ago, Airbnb launched a new handle – Icons. With this, Airbnb wants to create customized and extraordinary experiences for its customers. Airbnb’s Icons include experiences hosted by the world’s biggest icons across all industries such as film, music, television, art, and sports. One of the experiences included a chance to stay at Janhvi Kapoor’s house.
How the influencers were selected for this special experience
Manas was selected and soon he got a confirmation from Airbnb about his stay. He reached Chennai and was greeted by a driver who drove him to Sri Villa – the home of veteran actress and Janhvi Kapoor’s mother Sridevi. What happened next was nothing less than a dream. “Incredible experience from Airbnb,” Manas wrote on Instagram.
Details of his stay at Sri Villa
Maanas was directed to stay in Sridevi’s room, which was customised to suit the actor’s needs. Sri Villa is a beautiful lush property facing the beach in Chennai that centres around minimalism and modernity. The influencer further added that she had access to all the facilities of the house, including a group of chefs who cooked her favourite things.

Soon, they met Janhvi Kapoor in person and talked to her about her business and her upcoming films. Janhvi posed for a picture with the guests. The actress looked gorgeous in a casual monochrome slip dress.
However, the video received some criticism from other netizens, who pointed out the lack of privacy. “Wow. What in the world? How did Janhvi have any problem with such an invasion of her private space? Because they don’t live there anymore, but still. How much could Airbnb pay her to make her agree to this,” one comment read. Another user pointed out – “I applied for this, and believe me I had a great application, but surely only people who promote companies and other brands get to have such experiences!”
