In India, many people dream of cracking UPSC CSE. On their way to fulfill their dreams, they prepare for one of the toughest competitive exams in the country to serve at the highest level. While lakhs of people appear for the exam, few can crack the exam and get selected for the opportunity.
UPSC CSE results were declared on Tuesday. The Commission has also released the toppers list along with the results of the applicants. According to the list, Aditya Srivastava and Animesh Pradhan have secured the first and second positions respectively.
Out of 1016 successful candidates, Vivek Singh from Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh stood at 256th rank in UPSC this year. Vivek Singh is the son of Principal Assistant Maya Singh posted at Regional Rural Development Institute, Ayodhya. However, Singh is a resident of Vishnoharpur village.
According to reports, Vivek has studied B.Tech and earlier he wanted to become an engineer. However, he could not succeed and tried to join the army. Later he failed in this also and had to prepare for civil services. Vivek finally succeeded in the UPSC exam in his fourth attempt.
Vivek Singh told AyraNews24x7 that it takes a lot of hard work to prepare for civil services. He went to the library every morning and then rested in the afternoon. Later, he again went to the library, where he prepared for the exam till night. Vivek thanked his parents for their inspiration and support, saying that they never pressured him to study. However, a series of failures made him perform better each time.
While giving suggestions to UPSC aspirants, Vivek Singh said that it is normal to feel disappointed at times. All they have to do is talk to their friends, share their problems and always keep moving forward. He also said that those preparing for the exam should never shy away from working hard.
