What is a brain aneurysm?
According to Dr. Sood, aneurysms are more common than people think, explaining, “It forms when a weak spot develops in a blood vessel and the brain, and slowly bulges outward, like a thin patch on a worn-out balloon.” However, most aneurysms are harmless and are often discovered incidentally – the real danger begins when an aneurysm ruptures. “If one bursts, it can cause bleeding around the brain, called a subarachnoid hemorrhage, which can be life-threatening,” doctors warn.
