62,565 graduate seats have been filled at Delhi University at the end of the first round of admission in Delhi University colleges.

Delhi University (DU) has published a list of vacant seats for the second round of counseling for its UG entry. Applicants now have a day to update their college and courses preferences. ANI reported that at the end of the first round of admission, 62,565 undergraduate seats were filled at Delhi University, accounting for about 88 percent of the total UG capacity, ANI reported.
The upgrade window for the next round is now open and will remain accessible till 4:59 pm on 25 July. The second seat allocation list will be released on 28 July. Apart from this, the university has extended the fee payment time limit for allotted students allotted from 5 pm to 11:59 pm.
On July 19, DU published the first seat allocation list for undergraduate programs, with 93,166 allocation for 71,624 seats. The report stated that 62,565 undergraduate seats were filled in DU by the end of the first round of admission, representing about 88 percent of the total UG capacity, stated in the report.
Of these, 34,014 seats were reserved by women candidates, while 28,551 were taken by male candidates. Additionally, 143 orphan students (77 women and 66 men) and 949 single girl children have secured seats. Overall, 16,126 candidates have frozen their entry, while 43,741 have opted for upgrade.

The admission process was started on 17 June 2025 through the Common seat allocation system (CSAS). This year, the University of Delhi saw the number of applications to the record-breaking number, with more than 3.05 lakh registration, 2.39 lakh students successfully presented their choice.
Candidates presented more than 1.68 crore program program-college combinations. B.com (Honors) was the most preferred course, received around 19.9 lakh preferences, followed by B.Com, BA (Hons) English, Political Science and History. Shri Ram College of Commerce, Hindu College and Miranda House were the top colleges according to the first preference data. About 58.89 percent, selected for humanities-based programs, 20.89 percent selected commerce, and 20.22 percent selected science.
