CM Sri School Entrance Test for Class 6, 7, and 8 was held on 13 September on 13 September instead of being scheduled on 13 September.

The first CM Shri School in the national capital is set to open in Sarojini Nagar on 1 October, celebrating Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday as part of the ‘Seva Pakhwada’ campaign, an official announced on Thursday.
The officer informed PTI, “The final stages of completion of the newly constructed school in Sarojini Nagar, and it will be first opened under the initiative.”
He mentioned, “The first opening and entry was delayed due to the issues of tender for smart board installation.” The Delhi government amended the admission program for these schools, postponing the admission tests and related dates for about two weeks.
According to the Directorate of Education (DOE), the admit cards were issued on 10 September, and the test for classes 6, 7, and 8 was on 13 September, instead planned 6 September. The final list of selected students was published on 20 September, and the entry would be completed by the end of September, as stated by DOE.
The state budget of 2025-26 announced with funding of Rs 100 crore, CM Shri Schools are modeling in the Center’s PM Shri schools and the National Education Policy (NEP) is aligned with 2020.
Half of the seats will be reserved for students of government and government-aided schools, including DOE, MCD, NDMC, Kandria Vidyalaya and Navodaya Vidyalayas.
Students of children with marginal categories such as SC, ST, OBC (non-slayer layer) and special requirements will get 5 percent discount in eligibility criteria.
Schools will feature smart classes with AI-powered libraries, promoted and virtual reality equipment, biometric attendance system and robotics lab.
They have also been planned as green complexes, which are running on solar energy and followed zero-illustration practices.

The Delhi Board of School Education is being phased, CM Shri School will be affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
