The caption, “Intimacy in the Frame”, sums up the mood perfectly – a cool, cinematic moment that somehow feels intimate yet impossibly stylized.

Dakota Johnson’s $9,900 dress defines effortless luxury

The red chiffon dress – a Valentino signature – features an off-the-shoulder neckline, delicate waist cutout and subtle knotted details that give it structure without taking away from its lightness. The piece effortlessly balances sexiness, which Dakota Johnson has long been known for incorporating into her fashion choices.

Her look was completed with white patterned tights, loose waves and a minimal no-makeup look that gave an easy vibe to the entire shot. Blue heels and a black Panthea bag sit nearby.

The campaign falls under Valentino’s “Nocturne” theme, which the brand describes as a moment that “lives on a suspended threshold where sleep and waking become porous. It takes place in a hotel, a transcendent space, where intimacy and anonymity coexist and transience transforms into permanence.”

Directed by Renell Medrano and photographed by Marilee Andre, the campaign reflects this widespread repetition of isolated gestures. The official description further reads, “This is the threshold where, as Freud would say, the dream begins to think for us. A world that allowed ourselves to sleep together for a fleeting moment.”
