The truth came out after two years
Both were found without cash or jewelry, leading local authorities to initially suspect that they had been drugged and robbed. However, a two-year re-investigation by Polish prosecutors revealed a different picture. According to the Seedless District Prosecutor’s Office, Aleksandra’s death was caused by voluntary consumption of narcotics, which could have led to either an overdose or a severe allergic reaction. Prosecutor Christina Golabek explained, “Extensive investigations were conducted, including a request for legal assistance from the US side, which provided materials from their investigation. “Expert opinion in the fields of computer science and virology was also obtained.” While investigators did not completely rule out the possibility that the couple were inadvertently drugged, Golabek stressed that no evidence supported the initial hypothesis of forced intoxication.
Hours before her death, Alexandra shared happy photos online, sipping cocktails with her husband and enjoying the beaches of Miami. These photos, posted just before the tragedy, have now become poignant memories of the couple’s brief time together after their wedding on August 6, 2022.
The re-investigation, which ended on October 23, 2024, brought clarity to the mysterious circumstances of Alexandra’s death, but left questions about how the psychoactive substances came into her possession. Alexandra’s husband, David, has remained silent on the events leading to her untimely death.
