CISF had found a solution to the problem
After some time, CISF found a solution to this problem and a column of ‘Lost and Found’ was included on the official website of the security force. This column of Lost and Found is still a part of the official website of CISF. In this column, a list of unclaimed items found at all the airports under the jurisdiction of CISF started being published. Former CISF Director Generals OP Singh and Rajesh Ranjan especially took this scheme a step further.
On September 2, many items were found unclaimed at Terminal 3 of Delhi Airport, but there is no information about this on the CISF website.
Two former Directors General gave a new dimension to this scheme
Both these former Directors General ensured that any unclaimed luggage found at the airport should be returned to the passenger first. In any case, when the passenger cannot be contacted, only then should the luggage be deposited with the airport operator. After depositing the luggage with the airport operator, its information should be made available on the lost and found column on the website. This exercise not only created a very positive image of CISF in the hearts of passengers, it also received a lot of praise from all stakeholders.

After the retirement of former CISF Director General Rajesh Ranjan, a new change began in CISF. The CISF jawans who till yesterday officially called themselves ‘helpers’ of the passengers, today have tied themselves to a limited pattern.
