OpenAI has given a good news for the users of India. From today i.e. from 4th November 2025, OpenAI’s new and cheapest subscription ChatGPT Go has been made available free of cost across India. The best thing is that this free facility will be available for a whole year. This means that till now you had to spend money, now you can enjoy all the great features of ChatGPT Go without any expense.
If you haven’t heard of ChatGPT Go yet, it’s a subscription plan from OpenAI that falls between free and ChatGPT Plus. Earlier it was launched in India in August 2025 and its price was kept at Rs 399 per month. Through this plan, users get the facility to send more messages, better AI tools and advanced features.
What do users have to do to get the freebie?
Indian users can activate ChatGPT Go from the ChatGPT app or website today. After activation, this subscription will remain free for 12 months. After that the normal price will apply.

OpenAI says that this step is to make AI available to more people in India and to increase its user base.
