New Delhi. BSA Motorcycle has launched its retro style motorcycle Gold Star 650 in India. This is a global model which will now be sold in India as well. The price of this bike has been fixed at Rs 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Gold Star 650 is being produced in India itself. This has reduced its price considerably. It has been introduced in 5 different color options.
Talking about the design, this bike looks very attractive. The bike has a modern retro look, which is being liked by many people these days. The company hopes that those who like retro bikes will definitely buy it. The bike has a round headlight, tear drop fuel tank, curved fenders and spoke wheels which make its design elegant. What is the price?
The Gold Star 650 is available in several colour options – Insignia Red and Highland Green (Rs 2.99 lakh), Midnight Black and Dawn Silver (Rs 3.12 lakh) and Shadow Black, which costs Rs 3.15 lakh. All these prices are ex-showroom.
Dual Channel ABS and Dual Disc Brakes
Gold Star 650 is a bike built on a cradle frame, which is equipped with telescopic fork and twin shock absorber suspension. The bike runs on wire-spoke wheels with tube-type tyres. It has single disc and dual channel ABS. The option of alloy wheels is not available in the bike.
BSA Gold Star engine
The BSA Gold Star is powered by a 652cc, 4-valve, DOHC, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This engine generates 45bhp of power at 6,500rpm and 55Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. This bike gets a top speed of over 160kmph.
