State Health Society (SHS), Bihar is inviting online applications for recruitment to the post of Community Health Officer (CHO) in Health and Wellness Center under National Health Mission. It has released vacancies for a total of 4,500 posts.
Interested candidates can apply through the official website of SHS-https://shs.bihar.gov.in/. Recruitment will be done on contract basis. The salary of CHO will be Rs 40,000 per month. The last date to apply for the post is March 30. To become eligible for the posts the candidate must be registered with the Indian Nursing Council.

Step 3: Access the application form with your registered ID and password
Step 4: Fill the registration form by entering your required details

To become eligible for the post of Community Health Officer, one must have a B.Sc (Nursing)/Post Basic B.Sc Nursing degree along with a six-month course in Certificate in Community Health. The maximum age limit for unreserved and EWS category for men is 42 years, while for women it is 45 years. For Backward Class and EBC category, the age of women and men should be less than 45 years. SC and ST category for women and men is 47 years.
The application fee for UR, EWS, BC, EBC is Rs 500 for men and Rs 250 for women. SC and ST male candidates have to pay only Rs 250. After recruitment to the post of Community Health Officer, selected candidates will have to lead the primary care provider team at sub centers and health and wellness centres. The team will include female health workers, male health workers, ASHA etc.
