To receive these kits, students will have to upload their Aadhaar details on the e-education portal. This policy will be effective for the academic year 2024-2025.
After the dismissal of former Additional Secretary of Education Department KK Pathak, important changes are taking place in the education sector of Bihar. Under the new instructions issued by ACS S Siddharth, now students from class 1 to class 12 will get school kits, which was earlier limited to classes 1 to 3.
The education department has launched FLN and LEP kits, in which the government will spend Rs 498.75 per kit. To get these kits, students have to upload their Aadhaar details on the e-education portal. This policy will be effective for the academic year 2024-2025.
Apart from this, the number of school holidays has been increased by six days. The new holidays include Rakshabandhan, Haritalika Teej, Anant Chaturdashi, Jeevit Putrika Vrat (Jiutiya), Gurunanak Jayanti and Kartik Purnima. The special thing is that two additional days have been fixed for Teej fast.
Samples of the new kits have been sent to block offices, and a toll-free number, 14417/18003454417, has been set up for quality-related complaints. Parents and students are encouraged to use this service for any problems related to the kits.
These changes come after protests over cuts to school holidays last year. These changes reflect the Department for Education’s response and commitment to improving student welfare.
