Bengaluru water crisis: Water supply board issues new advisory to prevent wastage

Amid the severe water crisis in Bengaluru, the Karnataka Water Supply and Sewerage Board on Friday issued a fresh advisory banning drinking water for non-essential purposes. The Water Supply Board also cited that fines will be imposed for not following the rules.

According to the latest advisory from Karnataka Water Supply and Sewerage Board, use of drinking water for car washing, gardening, construction, water fountains and road construction and maintenance has been banned.

Also talked about imposing a fine of Rs. A fine of Rs 5000 will be imposed for violating the order.
