New Delhi. HMD has introduced a new feature phone The Boring Phone in partnership with Heineken and Bodega. The major highlight of this device is digital disconnection. Besides, it has also been given a special transparent body. This boring phone has a flip screen which also reminds us of retro phones. HMD says that it has observed that GenZ users are reducing their screen time to improve their mental health. In such a situation, the company has partnered with Heineken and Bodega. Because, both the companies give priority to the ideology of in-person social life. Boring phones will help young users avoid the trend of social media distraction.
Talking about the specifications of Boring Phone, it has a 2.8-inch QVGA primary display and an outer 1.77-inch display. It also has a 0.3MP camera. HMD says that this device will offer one week standby time and up to 20 hours of voice calls. This phone is 4G enabled and can also be connected to 2G and 3G networks.

This boring phone is a limited-edition device that will be available through giveaways and offline events organized by HMD, Heineken and Bodega. It will not be sold commercially in the markets. Heineken’s website says that only 5000 units will be produced.
This device will be especially showcased at events in European countries and parts of the United States. HMD is unlikely to launch ‘the boring phone’ in the Indian market. If you are interested in getting a Nokia flip phone, you can buy the Nokia 2660 in India, which is the same phone. But, it will not have transparent body and special Heineken badge.
