New Delhi. Bajaj Auto is all set to launch the world’s first CNG motorcycle on 5 July 2024 in the presence of Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India. Currently, the company has released a new teaser of its upcoming CNG bike ahead of its launch in the country.
This upcoming CNG bike features an ADV inspired design that appeals to that specific audience. Bajaj aims to create a versatile product that can appeal to different groups by offering a premium 125cc motorcycle.
The spy shots that have surfaced show a small fuel tank capable of holding around 5 litres of petrol and a long seat on the bike’s wheelbase, with the CNG tank placed underneath it. The combined capacity of the CNG and petrol fuel should be similar to the tank range of traditional 125cc commuter motorcycles.

The Bajaj CNG bike also features muscular tank shrouds highlighted in silver colour, which extend to the headlight housing here. The round headlight adds a classic touch, while the handlebar braces, knuckle guards and front disc brake add a premium feel in the commuter segment.
Other notable components include a large side body panel, stylish belly pan, split 5-spoke design alloy wheels, functional grab rail for pillion, ribbed seat, traditional RSU telescopic front forks, rear mono-shock setup, tyre hugger and mega colour range.
Bajaj is likely to provide a 125cc engine in the CNG bike. However, due to the lower performance of CNG compared to petrol, it can perform close to a 100cc engine. Also, better mileage and lower running cost can be seen in it.
