New Delhi. Bengaluru based electric vehicle manufacturer Ather Energy has announced to increase the price of its popular family electric scooter Rizta. This information has been received from the company that from January 1, 2025, the price of the scooter will be increased by Rs 4,000 to Rs 6,000.
Rizta scooter is available in the Indian market with 3 variants and 7 color options. Its current price ranges between Rs 1.10 lakh to Rs 1.47 lakh (ex-showroom). This scooter gives tough competition to electric scooters like TVS iQube and Ola S1 Air in its segment.
Why is the price increasing?
This increase in prices is being done with the increasing costs and new features in the EV sector. However, before the price increase, customers are also getting attractive offers on scooter booking on e-commerce website Flipkart.
At the forefront of storage space
The biggest feature of Ather Rizzta is its huge storage space of 56 liters. This feature makes it the first e-scooter in India to have such a large boot space. It has a boot space of 34 liters under the seat. Additionally, the company has also added a 22-litre ‘frank’ on the front apron, taking the total storage space of the scooter to 56 litres.
Performance and battery options
The Ather Rizta has the same 4.3 kW motor which is used in the Ather 450X. It has two battery pack options which include 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh battery pack, whose range on full charge is 123 km and 160 km respectively. If we talk about charging time, it takes 6 hours 40 minutes to fully charge the 2.9kWh battery, whereas it takes only 4 hours 30 minutes to fully charge the 3.7kWh battery.
