Asaduddin Owaisi of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) said at a public meeting in Telangana on Saturday that terrorists from Pakistan have killed more than 50 Indian soldiers since 2021. He asked why the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is no longer naming Pakistan.
,From 2021 till now, more than 50 of our soldiers are being killed by infiltrating into the country from our neighbouring country Pakistan. [Since 2021, more than 50 of our soldiers have been killed by terrorists who enter our country through borders]Owaisi said this at a public meeting in Kodangal in Telangana on Saturday.
He said, “Even today we have lost a soldier on the Line of Control. Why is the BJP not naming Pakistan now? Name Pakistan. Terrorists are coming from there.”
He also talked about the encounter between security personnel and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district. He said, “Attack in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir… Doda is very far from the LoC [Line of Control]How did terrorists reach Doda?
He said that BJP does not talk about this.

Owaisi’s statement came after the Indian Army foiled an attack by Pakistan’s Border Action Team (BAT) in the Kamakari sector of Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, in which one soldier was martyred and four others, including a Captain, were injured.
They said one Pakistani intruder was also killed in the firing while two others managed to return to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) amid heavy gunfire that continued for several hours, military sources told news agency PTI.
In the attack in Kupwara on Saturday morning, the intruders took advantage of bad weather and low visibility in the area to cross the Line of Control and opened fire on the forward military post from a close range, a Srinagar-based defence spokesperson said.
Security has been tightened in the Union Territory following the recent rise in terror attacks in Jammu. In the Jammu region alone, 22 people, including 11 security personnel and a Gram Raksha Guard member, have lost their lives this year in attacks in Rajouri, Poonch, Reasi, Udhampur, Kathua and Doda districts.
According to sources, in an effort to strengthen security in Jammu, the government is sending two BSF battalions comprising over 2,000 personnel from Odisha.
