ARISE, FICCI host two-day annual School Education Summit 2024, discuss future of K-12 education in India

The two-day ARISE Annual School Education Conference 2024 was organized in partnership with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) on December 13 and 14, 2024.

The conference, held at Hotel Shangri-La Eros, Janpath, New Delhi, made a significant impact on the discussion about the future of K-12 education in India, a press release said.

The theme of the conference was “The Learning Revolution – Breaking Boundaries, Building the Future”, which brought together over 400 stakeholders including government officials, educators, industry leaders and innovators who discussed the pressing challenges and opportunities in the education sector. Notably, the conference was also attended by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who emphasized the important role of benchmarking in enhancing the quality of school education.

Pradhan expressed a vision where Indian schools become global examples in innovation and educational standards. He also stressed the importance of promoting a balanced society where individuals can leverage their strengths to become job creators as well.

Dr. Jyotsna Suri, Former President of FICCI and Chairperson and Managing Director, Lalit Suri Hospitality Group, highlighted key topics important for educational transformation.

They discussed the evolving concept of school education, adoption of new age teaching methods and the need for supportive policies and regulatory framework.

Prabhat Jain, President of ARISE and Director of Pathways World School, spoke on the revolutionary potential of emerging technologies like AI and Machine Learning in education.

As part of the conference, delegates including leading teachers, thinkers, academicians, technocrats and industry innovators collectively aimed to promote student-centric education models, improve access to technology and enable greater public-private partnerships.
