Are aliens real? Do they exist? This is why scientists have not contacted them yet

Scientists have discovered several new planets orbiting other stars like our own solar system. With the discovery of new planets, the ability to explore space increases with each passing year. However, another possibility is that scientists have not found the aliens yet because they may have already found Earth.

zoo hypothesis theory

According to the Zoo Hypothesis theory, more technologically advanced extraterrestrial life exists. This is the main reason for avoiding contact with Earth. The roots of this theory can be traced to the Fermi Paradox which refers to the discrepancy between the lack of conclusive evidence of advanced extraterrestrial life and the high probability of its existence.

The same geological and atmospheric conditions on Earth that gave rise to human life must exist elsewhere, given the sheer size of the universe. Therefore, according to some estimates, there may be billions of habitable planets in the galaxy.

According to a recent report, two astronomers propose two possible explanations to the question of the existence of extraterrestrial life. The first explanation suggests that the evolution of species similar to humans is extremely rare. This makes our existence a solitary phenomenon.

The second explanation, known as the zoo hypothesis, suggests that intelligent aliens actually exist and are aware of human existence. Therefore, they deliberately hide themselves from humans which is similar to keeping an animal in a zoo.

However, there are some issues with this theory. Considering the presence of many alien civilizations, not all of them would be so isolationist to meet humans. Another point of contention on this theory is similar to the scenario in Star Trek. This suggests that the aliens are like Star Trek’s Starfleet who operate with the prime directive not to interfere with the natural development of civilizations.
