A case of ragging emerged from Palnadu district of Andhra Pradesh, where a first -year intermediate student was allegedly attacked in a government college and was subject to electric shock by a group of seniors.
The incident was now captured in a video walking online, allegedly took place at Dutchpalli Government Junior College.
Sources said that the victim was taken to a hostel, beaten, and electric shocks were given by the accused, all second year students and minors told. NDTV,
The attackers also filmed the Act and allegedly threatened to kill the victim, in which an outsider was allegedly involved in the attack.
The victim’s parents have filed a police complaint, indicating an investigation.
Many student groups have staged protests demanding action, while the college has not yet issued an official statement.
