Amazon has started deploying its project Kuper Satellite Internet network on a full scale. Now, all eyes are on the assembly of Amazon’s “Big New Satellite-Internet Nakshatra”, which reports, will rival SpaceX’s Starlink.

Amazon, a company that Bezos launched as an online bookseller decades ago, launched the first batch of 27 internet satellites for its “Kuper” broadband internet constellation.

The mission was called Kuper Atlas 1 or KA -01. It was launched on a United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V rocket, and 27 satellites were deployed at an altitude of 280 miles (450 km) above the Earth.

Reuters reported that the launch tried Amazon’s long -standing $ 10 billion, which was to create a global internet network to rival SpaceX’s Starlink.

The US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) licensed Amazon in July 2020 to deploy and operate project Kuper satellites.

It spirals in space in the latest battle of Billion Ayer – Jeff Bezos (Amazon Boss) and Elon Musk (SpaceX Boss). The purpose of the project is to provide another option for the remaining connected in the modern world.

About the launch of Amazon’s project Kuper satellites

Atlas V Rocket of United Launch Alliance took 27 of Amazon’s project Kuper satellites on Monday from Florida to a lower class. Once the orbit is released in the orbit, the satellite will eventually reach a height of about 400 miles (630 km).

Satellites were taken into space at EDT PM at 7 pm by launch pad at Cape Canveral Space Force Station. The bad weather tried for the initial launch on 9 April.

Established by Jeff Bezos, which now runs its own rocket company Blue Origin, Amazon’s objective is to provide more than 3,200 of these satellites to provide fast, inexpensive broadband service worldwide.

What is Project Kuper Satellite?

Project Kuper is an Amazon initiative to increase the reach of global broadband through constellations of more than 3,000 satellites in low Earth’s orbit.

Amazon has already launched more than 80 to deploy the initial constellation, each of which has added dozens of satellites to the network.

Monday’s Ka-01 mission is the first step of that process. The project aims to provide “faster, cheap broadband” to “communities around the world”.

This network is expected to serve a wide range of customers, including schools, hospitals, business, government agencies and others working in places without reliable connectivity, or require more flexible, flexible communication capabilities or require more flexible, flexible communication capabilities

How many satellites will the Project Kuper have?

The initial satellite constellation of Project Kuper consists of 3,232 satellites, the website states.

The term “constellation” refers to a group of similar satellites that are working with tightly coordinated movements to achieve a common purpose – “In this case, provides reliable broadband coverage.”

How fast will the project cuper internet be?

Amazon’s website states that the Ultra-Complete model of the company provides speed up to 100 megabits per second (Mbps), the standard model delivers 400 Mbps, and the largest model, which is required to enterprise, government and telecommunications applications, reaches 1 gigabit per second.

In comparison, Starlink users usually experience download speed between 25 and 220 Mbps, with most users experience more than 100 Mbps.

What will be the cost of cuper service?

The website stated that Amazon has not yet announced the pricing details, but the power project is a major principle of Kuper.

Meanwhile, rival Starlinks, and other global Satcom companies have priced satellite internet schemes globally $ 10-500 per month, leaving a one-time cost for hardware (which is around $ 250–380).

Starlink is faster than traditional satellite internet, reaching speed up to 220 Mbps, but can be more expensive than fiber. This, according to JM Financial, is 7–18 times more expensive than the Indian Telcos’ home broadband plan, starts at $ 5-7 per month.

What will happen next?

In the next few years, Kuper and Ula teams launched seven and Atlas V and launched 38 on the ULA’s large Vulcan Centaur rocket. An additional 30-plus launch in other launch providers is also planned: Arianspace, Blue Origin and SpaceX.

“We have already started shipping and processing satellites for our next mission: KA -02 will also use a ULA Atlas V rocket and launch the Cape canveral space force station,” says Amazon.

Can Amazon’s project compete with Kupp Elon Musk’s Starlink?

Kuper is certainly the biggest bet of Amazon, making it against Starlink as well as global telecommunications providers such as AT&T and T-Mobiles.

Amazon’s Executive Chairman Jeff Bezos had earlier assured that Kuper could compete with Starlink, in an interview in January, tell Reuters in “Uncontrolled Demand” for the Internet.

“There is a place for a lot of winners. I predict that Starlink will be successful, and I think the Kuper will also succeed,” Bezos was quoted by Reuters.

“This will be a main commercial system, but there will be defense uses for these Leo Nakshatras, there is no doubt,” he said, referring to the orbit of the low-earth.

Project Kupp vs Starlink

On Monday, Amazon’s launch project was the first of over 80 planned launch to construct Kuper Nakshatra, which would eventually disturb more than 3,200 satellites.

“This is a large number, but it won’t set a record,” Space.com said. In particular, the Starlink broadband network of SpaceX currently has over 7,200 operating spacecraft.

Elon Musk’s SpaceX has already launched more than 8,000 starlinks since 2019. According to the Associated Press, the company marked its 250th Starlink launch on Sunday night.

The report states that more than 7,000 starlinks are still in more than 300 miles (550 km) orbit above the Earth.

But Starlink, perhaps, is the biggest contestant of the project Kuper, and is growing at all times. The speed of the deployment of SpaceX has hurried for at least one Starlink Mission per week, expanding the network bandwidth and changing the old satellites, each rocket on the board with about two-pain satellites, the Reuters.

That quick motion has helped Musk’s company to create over 5 million Internet users in 125 countries, raising the global satellite communications market and Wu military and intelligence agencies, who have sought to use Starlink and its manufacturing line for sensitive national security programs.

Meanwhile, European-based onweeb satellite constellation number in hundreds in a single high class
