Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) has postponed the recruitment examination for 5 October. Chief Executive Officer GS Martolia told ANI that the decision was made after requests from the candidates. He said, “The new date of exam will be announced later.”
Earlier, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami recently addressed the UKSSSC exam paper leak incident, assuring that his government had immediately worked to ensure fairness and transparency in the recruitment process. According to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), CM Dhami said that the officials arrested the accused and formed a special investigation team (SIT) to investigate the entire examination process as soon as the matter came to light.
To remove the concerns of the youth and combat the disruptive elements, Dhami met with the students and assured them that a CBI inquiry would be held and all their valid demands would be met. He emphasized that the state government has implemented India’s most strict opposing law to ensure transparency in recruitment processes and to check the mafia.
“As a result, more than 25,000 youth have secured government jobs in the last four years, a record. More than 100 members of the cheating mafia who were cheated in an industry during previous governments, have been sent to jail under this law. All these steps have been taken to secure the future and interests of the youth.”
In the paper leak case, police said that the main accused, Khalid Malik confessed during interrogation that he had hidden his mobile phone inside the examination center a day before the test. He allegedly used the phone to take pictures of three pages of the question paper and sent them to his sister from the washroom.
Meanwhile, UKSSSC President Ganesh Singh Martolia said that there are about 10,000 to 12,000 government posts in total, and the examination for about 4,500 to 5,000 posts has already been completed. The end results for these will be declared immediately after the document verification and physical tests.
