Air India announced on Wednesday that it would operate two additional flights from Srinagar on 23 April, which would be in view of the prevailing situation on tourist attacks on tourists in Pahgam in Jammu and Kashmir.

Flights will be operated from Srinagar to Delhi and Mumbai.

Details of two flights

Srinagar to Delhi – 11:30 pm
Srinagar to Mumbai – 12:00 noon

Air India said in a post on X, “Booking for these flights is now open. All other flights from Srinagar and for us continue to work according to schedule.”

The airline said that it is offering free re -radiation and full refunds to cancel passengers with confirmed booking on these areas by 30 April 2025.

Meanwhile, Akasa Airline said it was deeply saddened by tragic incidents in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

“Our heartfelt condolences go to families who have lost loved ones, and for those whose life has been influenced.”

On Tuesday, at least 26 people were killed, including two foreigners and two locals, when terrorists set fire to a famous grassland, the most deadly attack in the valley since the Pulwama strike in 2019.

After the attack, Union Home Minister Amit Shah approached Srinagar and reviewed the security situation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was on a two -day visit to Saudi Arabia, decided to cut his journey and return to India.

While Modi was originally scheduled to return on Wednesday night, now he will reach India in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Meanwhile, various organizations on Wednesday called for a shutdown to oppose the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir.

Supporting the Bande Call, the ruling National Conference said, “On the instructions of the party president, JKNC joined the collective call for a bandh in a strong condemnation of the Pahalgam terror attack. We appeal to the people of J&K that there is a complete success to ensure ‘Hartal’ called by religious and social leaders.”

Sajd Loan, the head of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) head Mehboba Mufti and the conference of the People’s conference, announced support for the closed calls given by the Jammu Chamber of Commerce and the Jammu Bar Association, while Hurrita Conference President Mirwaiz Umar Farooq also called for a shutdown on Wednesday.

“The Chamber and Bar Association Jammu has called for a complete closure of tourists tomorrow to protest against the horrific terrorist attack. I appeal to all Kashmiris to unite in solidarity to unite in solidarity, which is a mark of honor for innocent life lost in a cruel attack in Pahgam,” said on the Xaboba X.

He said that this is not an attack on a few select people, “This is all of us attack”.

“We are standing together in sorrow and resentment and strongly support this shutdown to condemn the massacre of innocent people,” Mufti said.
