An important update for young candidates aiming to pursue LLB and practice law. The Bar Council of India (BCI) will conduct the All India Bar Examination on November 30. BCI has provided a list of “Dos and Don’ts” along with the admit card to ensure a fair and smooth examination process.
All India Bar Examination is not an open-book examination. However, candidates can bring blank law books without notes or commentary. The books of the Basic Law are the books of the Basic Law without any additional explanation. No other items are allowed.
Exam Timings and Documents Required:
– Candidates should reach the examination center by 11:30 am for timely entry. No candidate will be allowed entry after 1:15 pm.
-Candidates must bring their admit card and a valid photo identity card, such as Aadhar Card or Driving License. Both documents are mandatory.
– Only blue and black ballpoint pens are allowed to mark answers on the answer sheet. Using pencil will result in the answer sheet being rejected.
– Fill all the required details carefully including roll number and question paper set code on the OMR sheet.
Exam Pattern:
AIBE exam will be conducted offline in pen and paper format. There will be 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs), each worth one mark. Candidates will have three hours to complete the exam.
As per the marking scheme, candidates will get one mark for each correct answer, with no negative marking.
To qualify the exam, general category candidates must obtain at least 45% marks, while Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates must obtain a minimum of 40% marks.
The All India Bar Examination is a mandatory qualifying examination for law graduates wishing to practice law in India. To be eligible, candidates must have completed three years or five years LLB course from a university or college recognized by BCI.
