Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday won praise from BJP leaders after condemning personal attacks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This comment comes after RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s commentnon-arrivism Taunt on PM. Union minister Giriraj Singh thanked the National Conference chief for emphasizing that personal comments against Modi have an adverse impact.
“I thank Omar Abdullah. He should teach Lalu Yadav what he should say and what not. ‘No matter how much he abuses Modi, people will bring him back’400 pairsSingh said, ‘In the coming Lok Sabha elections.’
Earlier on Friday, Abdullah had told the media that such slogans had always caused “damage” to the opposition. The RJD supremo had made this comment during a rally of the Grand Alliance in Patna.
He said, “I have never been in favor of such slogans and we have never benefited from them. Whenever we raise such slogans, it causes harm to us. Voters are not impressed by all this, they want to know how the problems they are currently facing will be solved… We score self goals by making such statements or remove the goalkeeper and let PM Modi score. ..,” the NC leader said.
“What can we do if Narendra Modi does not have his own family? He keeps trumpeting the Ram temple. He is not even a true Hindu. In Hindu tradition, a son must shave his head and beard upon the demise of his parents. Modi did not do this when his mother died,” Yadav had said.
The comment sparked outrage among BJP leaders and supporters and many joined the ‘Modi Ka Parivar’ campaign.
