The Indian Computer Emergency Team (CERT-In) has issued an alert about several flaws in Apple’s iPhones, iPads, macOS and watchOS. It has been told that due to the flaws, any attacker i.e. hacker can tamper with the security of the device and break it, and can access the sensitive information of the users.
Several vulnerabilities have been reported in Apple products that could allow a hacker to access sensitive information, insert arbitrary code, bypass security, cause a denial of service (DoS), and perform spoofing attacks on the target system.

According to CERT’s advisory, the flaws are present on iOS, iPadOS, as well as some macOS versions and older versions of Apple’s Safari web browser. Let’s know which Apple OS versions are affected according to CERT.
All OS versions below 17.6
iPadOS versions below 16.7.9
macOS Sonoma versions below 14.6
macOS Ventura versions prior to 13.6.8
macOS Monterey versions below 12.7.6
watchOS versions below 10.6
tvOS versions prior to 17.6
visionOS versions below 1.3.

Apart from this, the flaws are also present in Safari web browser versions less than 17.6. In its advisory, CERT has urged users to use all the software patches suggested by Apple to reduce these security risks.
Apart from this, it is also advisable not to download any files from suspicious sites and install antivirus to stay safe. Make sure to use strong passwords and two-factor authentication for your online accounts and smartphone.
