The teaser of Salman Khan’s upcoming film Battle of Galwan was released on December 27 and now some commentators and media in China have criticized the film, accusing it of distorting facts. However, this reaction may not affect the film in any way, says Ashok Pandit, chief advisor of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE).

Bollywood films provide a more entertainment-based approach but cannot rewrite history, an expert said on Monday, according to Chinese tabloid Global Times. The report also said that Chinese netizens have also criticized the trailer.
Ashok Pandit tells us, “We are not surprised or surprised that the media in China has reacted to the Galwan film this way… If a filmmaker or a production house decides to depict the India-China confrontation, there is nothing wrong in it. As far as release or collections are concerned, I don’t think there will be any impact on its release.”

He further said, “The producers must have had in their minds that since it is Galwan, China will react because it is a film that is exposing them. We have the right to make such a film on this subject and tell the world that China has done this to our country.”
He says, “China is a country that has supported Pakistan, it has created a lot of issues and problems for our country. It is great that this film has been made. If the film is good then it will do well.”
In the film, directed by Apoorva Lakhia, Salman Khan reportedly plays the role of Colonel Bikkumalla Santosh Babu and also stars Chitrangada Singh.
Based on the book India’s Most Fearless 3, the film recreates the deadly 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops, focusing on the brutal battle fought with sticks and stones.
