The National Examination Board has presented a request to the Supreme Court on August 3, 2025 to resume the NEET PG 2025 examination. Earlier, the examination was scheduled for 15 June, however, on 2 June, the Supreme Court ordered the examination to conduct the exam in a single innings instead of two innings. Subsequently, NBE announced that the examination would be postponed.
In the application of SC, NBE reported that August 3 is the first date available from its technology partner, TCS, which conducts the exam in the same shift. The duration between May 30 and June 15 was inadequate to organize the examination in the same shift, as it would require more and more examination centers in cities and comprehensive hardware supply chain management, TCS has said, reported live law.

“The current booking of testing centers is doubled as the examination was planned at the centers in two shifts … 1000+ centers will need to be booked and attached, which will require a lot of time. In addition, the NEET PG 2025 application window will be reopened, which will give candidates a new opportunity to choose their favorite test city. Once the new Test City preferences are received, the candidates will be re -handed over to the test centers. This entire process will take some time, the report states.
On its application, NBE highlighted the need for adequate time to arrange for safe time to arrange for safe examination sites, adequate compatible computer systems, three-layer power backup system, network infrastructure, security software and hardware, skilled technical personnel, anti-chitting measures, survey systems, each test center, mock drill, load will and system audit for the system audit.
