Build quality is better than Baleno and i20.
Mileage in petrol is up to 19.33 kilometers per liter.
Baleno Alternatives: Indian car customers have now become more aware about their safety. People are now checking the safety features and build quality of a new car before investing Rs 6-7 lakh. According to a research report, now while buying a car, people are looking for mileage and features as well as safety features and star rating. This clearly shows that people are becoming aware of the safety features available in cars.
Most of the budget cars sold in India give mileage but their durability is not special. If we talk about the country’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki, the safety rating of most of the company’s best selling hatchback cars is disappointing. Maruti’s best selling hatchback Baleno has been given 0 star rating by GNCAP in crash test. Let us tell you that Baleno is being sold in the market as a premium hatchback. Its price starts from Rs 6.61 lakh (ex-showroom).
This is a better option for Baleno
Let us tell you that there are some cars being sold in the market which come with more safety and better build quality than Baleno at the same price. Baleno competes with Hyundai i20 and Tata Altroz in the market. The price of all three cars is almost the same, but the best crash test rating is of Tata Altroz whose price ranges between Rs 6.61 lakh to Rs 9.88 lakh (ex-showroom). If you buy its base variant then this car will come at an on-road price of Rs 7.50 lakh.

Tata Altroz: Highway stability of Tata Altroz is also better.
Number-1 in safety features
Not only in design but also in safety features, Altroz is no less than anywhere. This is the safest car in its segment. Tata Altroz is the only hatchback sold in the Indian market that comes with a 5-star Global NCAP safety rating. Altroz has been rated 5-star in adult safety and 3-star in child safety. Talking about Hyundai i20, it has been given only 3-stars in crash test, whereas Maruti Baleno is a car with zero rating in safety. Features like two airbags (driver and passenger), child lock, anchor point for child seat, overspeed warning, speed sensing door lock, anti theft engine immobilizer, central locking, tire pressure monitoring system are provided as standard in Altroz.
The engine is also powerful
Altroz is being sold in three engine options, in which the first is a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, the second is a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine and the third is a 1.5-liter diesel engine which gives power of 90 bhp and torque of 200 Nm. Manual and automatic gearbox options are available with all three engines. This car gives a mileage of 19.33 kilometers per liter in petrol, whereas in one kilogram of CNG this car can run up to 26.2 kilometers.
