The company said that it is going to remove likes and reposts from the users’ feed. Now only ‘view counts’ will be visible on users’ timeline. X User criticized the decision, saying it was ‘stupid’ and would reduce engagement.

Musk replied that it is ‘definitely happening.’ X users did not like this idea. One user commented, ‘This will reduce engagement, as people engage with posts they can see getting a large number of likes.’

Another posted that ‘This would be extremely stupid and would greatly reduce engagement and achieve nothing. An ex-user suggested that Musk should add ‘Dislike’. Musk recently announced that X users will soon have a feature that will allow their followers to see pinned posts.
