British supercar manufacturer Aston Martin to launch GT car DB12 in India in September 2023. 4.59 crore and its first owner in India is Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal. The Zomato CEO has chosen Satin Aston Martin Racing Green which has massive 21-inch alloy wheels with diamond-cut finish. It is equipped with Mercedes-Benz-sourced engines and features a powerful 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine capable of producing around 680 bhp and 800 Nm of torque mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The model is the successor to the already popular Aston Martin DB11 GT supercar and is 80 percent brand new according to the company.
Earlier, former Shark Tank India judge and former BharatPe founder Ashneer Grover had claimed that Deepinder Goyal would buy sportscars after every round of funding.
“I have a passion for cars and it’s not just me, it’s everyone,” he said in a podcast. Like Deepinder is the founder of Zomato, he was most fond of it. Whenever his round increased, he used to get a new sports car, we used to shout loudly (Zomato founder Deepinder Goyal was fond of cars. Whenever he got a round of funding, he used to buy a sports car and we were a little angry. Because he would get to ride luxury cars).”
