The YRF detective with the first female -led film with actor Sharvari Alia Bhatt is excited to enter the universe. She admits that the role has become one of the most challenging of her career so far, and she believes that the film will shatter many glass roofs, bringing a new approach to the detective style. In a clear conversation with Hindustan Times, Sharvari acted with Alia in the YRF detective universe. She shares her excitement about this groundbreaking project and the challenges faced with it.
Inside Sharvari’s YRF Spy Universe Debut
In the film, Alia and Sharvari will be seen in the role of super-agent. Shiva is directing the film.
“Alpha is a very exciting project. It will be released on Christmas this year. I am really keen to bring the film to theaters, especially because it is the first detective universe film with two women that is pushing it,” Sharavari says, which has become the face of Premium Cat Food Brand Sheba.
“This is actually the first female action film. And I think it will break a lot of glass roof. So, I am excited and a little nervous about the film. I am crossing my fingers about the same,” the actor said, which was recently in Delhi for a brand program.
The YRF detective universe began in 2012 with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif-Star Ek Tha Tiger, followed by the sequel Tiger Zinda in 2017. This was followed by a war starring Hirithic Roshan and Tiger Shroff in 2018. Pathan arrived in 2023 with Shah Rosh Khan and Deepika Padukone. YRF will be the next Alia Bhatt and Sharvari film in the detective universe.
A challenging task
Sharvari challenged the YRF detective universe project due to the action style, which was new to her. He did the survival-action in the Veda, but the smooth, stylish action style of the film departed from his previous work.
“What were me challenged, which was the style of the film, which is action. Style is an action that I have not done before. Although I did a film, Veda, in a similar place, but it was more than the survival action. Alpha was clearly a more smooth and stylish action,” she says, “she says,” it was very different from the work.
Growing pressure
With the huge success of Aditya Sarpotdar’s horror comedy Munjya, things took a new turn in Sharvari’s career last year, followed by his presence in the web film Maharaj. He was also seen in the Veda with John Abraham.
Sharvari reflects changes after her recent success, saying that it has brought gratitude and responsibility. The actor says, “There was always a very high benchmark for myself. I am only trying to reach there and reach there.”
“I am really grateful for last year and this year. I have seen and met many people who have loved and appreciated my work. This whole year is only full of gratitude. I think it brings a lot of responsibility because it is really a fan now. I hope that every time I come in theater, I am able to influence them and keep their engines.”
