New Delhi. Vivo V40 Pro and Vivo V40 have been launched in India as the latest V series smartphones from the Chinese tech brand. These new phones are upgrades to the Vivo V30 series and feature a 50-megapixel front camera. The Vivo V40 Pro runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ processor. While, the standard model has a Snapdragon7 Gen 3 processor. The Vivo V40 series has Zeiss branded rear cameras and a 5,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.
Vivo V40 Pro is priced at Rs 49,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant, while the 12GB + 512GB variant is priced at Rs 55,999. It is available in Blue and Titanium Grey shades. Its sale will start from August 13.
Vivo V40 has been priced at Rs 34,999 for the 8GB + 128GB RAM and storage version. At the same time, the price of 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB RAM and storage versions has been fixed at Rs 36,999 and Rs 41,999 respectively. It is currently available for pre-booking in Blue, Lotus Purple and Titanium Gray colors and its sale will start from August 19.

Specifications of Vivo V40 Pro, Vivo V40
The Vivo V40 Pro and Vivo V40 run on Android 14 based Funtouch OS 14. They have a glass build and feature a 6.78-inch full-HD+ (1,260×2,800 pixels) AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. The Vivo V40 Pro is powered by a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ processor paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The Vivo V40, on the other hand, runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon7 Gen 3 paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
Talking about photography, Vivo V40 Pro has a triple rear camera setup of Zeiss brand with Aura Light Flash. The camera setup includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 primary sensor with autofocus and OIS support, a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX816 telephoto portrait sensor with 2x optical zoom and 50x digital zoom.
At the same time, Vivo V40 has a dual rear camera setup which has been developed in collaboration with Zeiss. It includes a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS and AF and a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera. Both handsets have a 50-megapixel front camera for selfies and video chat.
Keeping connectivity in mind, the Vivo V40 series includes 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, Beidou, Galileo, GLONASS, Wi-Fi and USB Type-C port. Onboard sensors include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, e-compass, gyroscope and proximity sensor. For security, they have an in-display fingerprint scanner. Both handsets are IP68-rated for dust and water resistance. Vivo has provided a 5,500mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging support in both the phones.
