When it comes to heart health, women face more risk than men. This is due to general risk factors, female-specific health issues and strong diagnosis and strong effects of lack of treatment.

According to the World Heart Federation, in 2021, High BMI caused 3.7 million deaths and 128.5 million disability related life year. Since 1990, obesity in women has exceeded double.

In 2022, more than 1 billion people had obesity, including 504 million women and 374 million men. If this trend continues, by 2030, about 22% of more than 20 women may be thick. By 2050, about two-thirds of adults can suffer from overweight or obesity.

In 2021, according to WHF, women had more than 3 lakh heart -related deaths in women than men. High BMI is now one of the top risk factors for the death of heart disease in many countries.

Pcod, aka pcos

Polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD), also known as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), is a common health issue in Indian women of reproductive age. One of the problems is that weight gain.

Indian women with pcod face more likely to heart and metabolic health problems. They are more likely to develop high blood pressure, insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, obesity and abnormal cholesterol levels. Early symptoms of heart disease, such as thickening of arteries and calcium deposits, are seen more often.

A recent study published in PUBMED saw young women in Delhi NCR. It found that 17.4% of women had pcod, which was much higher than the earlier Indian studies shown around 8.4%. About 70% of these women already knew that they had Pcod while 30% were diagnosed during studies. The risk was high for women with an eastern Indian background and people living in nuclear families.

Pcod increases its risk of future heart attacks and strokes. Young women with PCOD may be seven times higher than the chances of a heart attack than others compared to their age, a study published in the Journal of Clinical Gynecology and Maternity.

How to fight back

Lifestyle changes are important in the treatment of pcod. You can improve a healthy diet and anti -inflammatory foods (berries, green leafy vegetables, cherries and grapes, tomatoes) with low sugar, more fiber, omega -3 fat (fatty fish, oyster, flaxseed oil, chia seeds, walnuts, etc.). According to another study published in Pubmed, the Mediterranean diet or keto can also help.

Regular exercise, such as walking, walking or weight training, weight loss and better health support. These lifestyle not only balance the hormones, but also reduce the chances of heart disease.
